Preventive Care
The goal of preventive care is to stay ahead of the game and keep your teeth and mouth from developing cavities, gum disease, abnormal wear on the enamel. Our dentists are highly focused in Preventive dentistry to care for your teeth and keep them healthy so you can prevent most common problems.
Teeth cleaning is part of oral hygiene where a dental hygienist or dentist will scrape along and below the gum line to remove built-up plaque and tartar that can cause gum disease, cavities, bad breath, periodontal disease and other problems. Then he or she will polish and floss your teeth.
Cosmetic Dentistry - Whitening
Tooth discoloration may result from drinking coffee, tea, cola and red wine; or from smoking and also aging. Our dentist will conduct a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums to ensure proper health, as well as talk with you about your oral hygiene and lifestyle habits to determine if you will benefit from whitening.
The Zoom in-office teeth whitening procedure uses the Zoom Advanced Power Chairside Lamp – said to accelerate the bleaching process.
Root Canal Treatment
A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.
Dental extractions are done for several reasons. When tooth decay destroys most of the tooth structure with no possibility of restoration, the tooth must be extracted.
Simple Dental Extraction
A simple extraction is performed on a tooth that can be seen in the mouth. In a simple extraction, the dentist loosens the tooth before removing it.
Surgical Dental Extraction
A surgical extraction is a more complex procedure, which is used if a tooth may have broken off at the gum line or has not come into the mouth yet. Sometimes it’s necessary to remove some of the bone around the tooth or to cut the tooth in half in order to extract it.
Children Dental Care
Children are susceptible to tooth decay. Mother’s milk, formula, cow’s milk and fruit juice all contain sugars.
Children’s teeth must be kept healthy and clean to help prevent cavities. Prevention starts at home, with good eating habits and daily cleaning of the teeth.
If you see any signs, go to the dentist right away. Early childhood tooth decay must be treated quickly. If not, your child may have pain and infection.
Seniors Dental Care - Full/Partial Dentures
As you age, you may need to change the way you care for your teeth and gums.
You are never old enough to stop seeing your dentist, and we want to ensure you maintain healthy teeth and gums for your whole life.
We will also help with dentures if it is required.
Mouth Guards, Night Guards
A common problem with most patients that comes as a surprise is teeth grinding also called bruxism. Our dentist may suggest a custom made night guard to help prevent damage to the teeth.
Athletes may require a mouth guard, which is made from a thicker material to protect teeth from being damaged from a physical blow to the face or an accident.
Oral cancer screening
Oral cancer is a disease resulting from abnormal cell growth in the mouth, lips, tongue or throat. People over the age of 45 are most at risk. However, the good news is that oral cancer can be treated successfully if caught early enough.
Our dentists have the necessary skill and training to detect early signs of the disease and can help you to understand your risks.
Restorative Treatment - White Fillings (Composite), Porcelain Crowns/Veneers/Bridges
Tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. We will try to save the tooth that has been broken or damaged by decay, with a filling, crown or other treatment.
